Life is cruel, Satoshi…

…It doesn’t care where you are from, what god you pray to, it is, so you must face it head on

Scorpion

That quote is from the movie “Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge”, one of the most badass movies I’ve ever seen.

Scorpion and his son.

Even though this movie is extremely violent and has completely gross bloody scenes, it has deep message, and that’s what I really love about movies, they have to be entertaining and meaningful. A good movie may be one of them, but a great movie is both, and this Mortal Kombat movie is definitely a great one.

I’ve never been a fan of gore movies because I’ve always found it unnecessary, for instance: Tarantino’s movies. But in “Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge”, I think the amount of blood is justified, not only because the story is based on an epic video game, but because the situation demands. The main character is hit in the most hurting way and he seeks revenge. Totally justified.

You can think revenge is not good, but you wouldn’t say that to Scorpion, I don’t think anyone could do it, not even Clint Eastwood. Because when life is cruel to you, you have to deal with it, and Scorpion knew it right.
